PURPOSE:To improve printing quality by making operational characteristic of a printing wire almost constant, by a method wherein an intermediate guide which guides a printing wire to a top guide is supported by using an electrostrictive element, and is finely vibrated with high frequency by applying voltage according to printing operation. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate guide 27 is supported by using an electrostrictive element 26, and is finely vibrated with high frequency by applying voltage from a high frequency voltage application device 30. Thereby, restraint in a print operating direction working between a printing wire 1 and the intermediate guide 27 is always made to be under a state of kinetic friction. The restraint under a printing operational state of the printing wire 1 is made not to differentiate thereby. Therefore, it becomes possible that an operational characteristic of the printing wire 1 is made not to differentiate, an almost stabilized operational characteristic can be obtained, and printing quality can be extremely improved. |
