The invention relates to a non-return valve of the hose- break valve type, comprising a valve housing and a valve body which is arranged in the valve housing and which, in the event of a fluid flow which is greater than a predetermined flow through the valve, is arranged so as, by means of the pressure drop thus caused, to overcome a holding force from a holding member acting on the valve body and be moved from an open position to a shut position, in which the valve body engages with a valve seat in the valve housing.
