PURPOSE:To easily recognize a part in maintenance and to prevent the generation of worker's malfunction by indicating and displaying contents indicating that a control mechanism for dispersely arranged I/O devices is in maintenance work, finding out the OR operation of indicated contents and latching the OR in a register. CONSTITUTION:When a computer system is constituted by connecting two disk devices and one printer to one computer, respective disk devices are provided with master control mechanisms 6, 7 and slave control mechanisms 29, 34 and switches 37, 38, 30, 33 are respectively connected to the mechanisms 6, 7, 29, 34 and turned on or off to know whether each control mechanism is in maintenance or not. A latch register for indicating whether its control mechanism is in maintenance or not is included in the control mechanism and the control mechanism is inspected on the basis of the display of the register. All the operations are executed through a CPU to prevent the generation of data destruction or incorrect rewriting. |
