PURPOSE:To enhance the raw stock preservability of a photosensitive material by incorporating a diazonium salt as a precursor of a polymn. initiator. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer contg. silver halide, a reducing agent (A), a polymerizable compd. (B) and a diazonium salt (C) is formed on a support. The salt C may be a compd. which is not reduced by the agent A coexisting with the compd. during storage but reacts readily with the remaining agent A at the time of development, e.g., a compd. represented by the formula. The agent A may be a compd. having function to reduce silver halide and/or function to accelerate or retard the polymn. of the compd. B, e.g., 3-pyrazolidones. The compd. B may be (meth)acrylic esters. An image formed on the resulting photosensitive material can be transferred to an image receiving material. |
