The rotary switch in the present invention consists of a housing which is closed by a cover which is provided with a rotation shaft having a disc which is firmly seated in the lower part of this shaft and has corresponding projections or studs emerging from it at right angles, the cover having terminal holding elements. The rotary switch is characterised in that a holding part constructed in a U-shape is seated on the underneath of the cover as a pressure element for the projections or studs which project on the side surface of the disc which is firmly connected to the rotation shaft of the switch, while an elastic contact link is located in the interior of the housing and terminals project from the underneath of the housing.
