PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity and superior in repetition characteristics by incorporating a specified hydrazone compound in a photoconductive layer formed on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is obtained by forming on the conductive substrate 1 the photoconductive layer 2a containing as an electric charge generating material 3 the hydrazone compound represented by the formula shown on the right, and the charge transfer material 5, and it is prepared by dissolving the charge transfer material 5 and a binder resin in a solvent, dispersing the charge generating material 3 into this solution, coating the substrate 1 with this liquid dispersion, and drying them, thus permitting the obtained sensitive body to be high in sensitivity and superior in repetition characteristics, and further enhanced in durability by forming a coating layer 7 on the surface of the photosensitive body. |
