Mill batch, and process for two- and multicoat enamelling in one firing

A mill batch for a base enamel for two-and multicoat enamelling in one firing (baking), containing a frit with a high barium content, a frit with a high barium and high phosphorus content, from 20 to 60 parts of zirconium silicate and from 3 to 8 parts of clay, in each case based on 100 parts of frit. In conventional enamel firing, this mill batch gives an enamel having a layer thickness of from 40 to 80 mu m and which separates out and partially crystallizes.
