Solid or hollow bodies or bodies with openings have a number of, or all, openings closed in valve fashion and are flowed round or through by a circulating medium; they hence experience a buoyancy force and move within preset limits according to the force of the flow. The buoyancy force is only obtained, in the case of gas streams, with hollow bodies provided with openings.
