PURPOSE:To hold an invariably excellent developing state stably for a long period, by employing a dry developing method which uses a one-component magnetic toner and preventing the toner from flocculating between or near a sleeve functioning as a developer supporting carrier and a blade functioning as a developer layer specifying member. CONSTITUTION:When power 8 for flocculation prevention less in flocculation property than the toner T is mixed in a toner receptacle, the power 8 is also held on the surface of a sleeve 2 as the toner is supplied to the surface of the sleeve 2 because the powder 8 is also a magnetic material, and the powder is carried toward the blade 4 together with the toner. The powder 8, however, has greater grain size than the thickness of a toner layer T1 specified and straightened by the blade 4, so the powder 8 when carried to the blade 4 moves on the internal surface of the blade together with excessiv toner which is not carried out through the gap between the sleeve 2 and blade 4, but scraped by the blade 2 to move up, thereby entering the toner receptacle again. Through this circulating motion, the toner in the toner receptacle is stirred and even when a toner which almost flocculates between or near the sleeve 2 and blade 4 is a pressure-fixing toner with high flocculating force, it is made into powder by the powder 8 in upward moving motion on the blade internal surface, thus preventing the flocculation. |
