PURPOSE:To enable a correct temperature adjustment to be carried out irrespective of a degree of water flow rate by a method wherein an area of opening of a slit between a fixed cylinder and a moving cylinder is determined in response to an amount of fed water, an increasing or decreasing of a degree of opening of a gas valve in response to a variation of a fed water temperature is made different in response to an amount of fed water. CONSTITUTION:A slit S is formed by a fixed cylinder 15 and a moving cylinder 611. An area of opening is determined by a degree of movement of an advancing or retracting cylinder 3, i.e. an amount of fed water. In a parallelelogram BFED, as a temperature of incoming water is increased, an advancing or retracting member 61 of a temperature sensing member 6 is pushed out, so that the moving cylinder 611 is pushed out auxiliary, resulting in that a height (x) is increased. During this operation, an area of opening of the slit, i.e. an area of the parallelogram BFED is kept constant, so that a bottom side (l) is decreased. Then, the amounts of mixed air and the secondary air are decreased and the caloric value of heat generated by a combustion is decreased. In turn, as a temperature of incoming water is decreased, the advancing or retracting cylinder 3, i.e. an operating lever 4 is extended in a right ward direction and a degree of opening of a rate control valve device Y is increased. |
