PURPOSE:To prepare an alkylbenzene efficiently, only by heating a polyolefinic plastic waste and benzene in the same container in the presence of a solid acid catalyst so that a decomposition reaction and an alkylation reaction occur simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:A waste of a polyolefinic plastic such as polyethylene and polypropylene and benzene are heated in the presence of a solid acid catalyst such as silica-alumina or zeolite preferably under conditions free from oxygen in the same container (preferably an autoclave made of a metal) at about 400-460 deg.C, so that a decomposition reaction and an alkylation reaction occur simultaneously, to recover an alkylbenzene. Formed oils except a formed gas and the alkylbenzene are preferably used as a fuel, the polyolefinic plastic waste can be used approximately completely and effectively with respect to the reduction of source and energy. |
