PURPOSE: To reduce knocking pulse and noise by arranging ratio of an air compressor drive gear wheel to the camshaft gear wheel as a multiple load cycle, and arranging an angular position at which negative torque components of the air compressor crankshaft are eliminated by the overlapping of positive torque components of the crankshaft. CONSTITUTION: The tooth number ratio of drive gear 10 of air compressor 11 and camshaft gear 3 driven by the crankshaft gear 1 of an internal combustion engine is embodies as a multiple of load cycle of the camshaft drive torque. At the same time, the angular position of the air compressor crankshaft 17 relative to the camshaft 5 is fixed so that negative torque components of the air compressor crankshaft 17 are eliminated by the overlapping of positive torque components of the camshaft 5. Therefore, rotors of the air compressor and the drive camshaft gear can have small inertia moment, small size and light weight, the reverse acceleration of the camshaft drive gear is prevented, and the knocking pulse in the mesh of the camshaft gear and the noise can be minimized. |
