PURPOSE:To obtain the optical connector which can be reworked to decrease eccentricity with high accuracy, for example, in <=0.1mum unit by forming a thin film layer to guide pin grooves so that the relative positions of optical fiber guide holes with respect to guide pin holes can be corrected. CONSTITUTION:A flat plate 12 is joined onto the optical fiber guide grooves 13, exclusive of the guide pin grooves 14, on a guide substrate 11 worked with the optical fiber guide grooves 13 and the guide pin grooves 14 on the front face, by which an optical fiber coupling member 10 is formed. The optical fibers 1 are inserted into the optical fiber guide holes formed by the optical fiber guide grooves 13 and the flat plate 12 and are fixed by an adhesive agent. Since the thin film layers 15 having a thickness (t) are formed in the part where the guide pins 2 come into contact with the guide pin grooves 14, the relative height of the guide pins 2 and the optical fibers 1 can be corrected and the optical connector of low eccentricity is obtd. |
