A hanger assembly for a plated refractory brick comprises a heavy gauge wire hanger 16 pivoted to a socket 24 of a metal clip 18 lying between a channel section casing plate 12 and one face of the brick, to which it is affixed by a lower inwardly directed tab 22. The hanger 16 pivots from the extended position into recessed grooves 32 in the casing 12, wherein there is also formed a depression 38 partially underlying the grooves for ease of removal of the hanger. The assembly may be utilized with an unplated brick, when the clip 18 is made wider than legs 30 of the hanger 16, and also may be used with a pre-formed or preformed and fired brick. |
