Composite board and its use

Proposed is a thermoformable, rigid composite board which has a reinforcing insert embedded in synthetic resin and, if appropriate, a decorative covering layer on at least one side. To increase the buckling, compressive and flexural strength, a structural honeycomb which is provided with a multiplicity of regularly arranged clearances, is embedded in a matrix of foamed synthetic resin and is ideally suited for producing mouldings is used as an insert.
