Rubber hoses, specially for the water circuits in motor vehicles, are vulcanised complete with a marked recess for the claiming collar at the hose and by using a fixture with a sleeve and a mandrel. The end of the hot yet vulcanised rubber hose is pushed over the mandrel up to a collar. A cup inside the sleeve is made of a material which after vulcanisation does not stick to the hose, preferably made of fluorocarbon. It has a collar inside which leaves the desired recess for the clamping ring. ADVANTAGE - This leaves no flash and simplifies the manufacture of hose end.
