The invention relates to a refrigerating appliance, especially a domestic refrigerator or the like, having at least one tapping point, which is accessible from the outside, for cooled drinks, which can be tapped from conventional vessels, such as bottles or the like, which are arranged in the interior of the refrigerating appliance and to this end have a tapping device in the place of their original closure, which tapping device can be actuated from outside the refrigerating chamber. In known refrigerating appliances of the aforementioned type, it is impossible to ascertain from outside the tapping point which drink is situated in the vessels arranged in its cooling chamber. This is especially disadvantageous if the refrigerating appliance is equipped with a plurality of adjacent tapping points for different cooled drinks, the vessels of which may be arranged arbitrarily in the interior of the refrigerating appliance. If it is desired to ensure that the desired drink is tapped in each case, it is necessary in known refrigerating appliances of this type to first ascertain, by opening the door, which drink is situated in the different containers and to which tapping point the drinks are assigned. The opening of the door necessary for this is, however, an awkward process and causes in addition considerable losses of energy, owing to the penetration into the cooling chamber of warm ambient air, which cannot be avoided when the door is open.
