PURPOSE:To obtain the always superior start performance by prohibiting the driving power increase control by a drive power increasing means when an excessive slip state is detected on start. CONSTITUTION:When a start operation detecting means D detects the start of a vehicle, a drive power increasing means E increases a driving power for drive wheels C temporarily, and a large accelerating force is obtained on start. When an excessive slip state detecing means F detects the state where the slip quantity of the driving wheels C on start is over a prescribed value or the slip over a prescribed value iis generated, a drove power increase prohibiting means G prohibits the increasing control of the driving power by a drive power increasing means E. Therefore, the superior start acceleration performance can be obtained by the increase of drive in ordinary case, and an a low mu road, the deterioration of the start performance due to the slip of the driving wheels is prevented, and the optimum start performance corresponding to the read surface state can be obtained at all times.
