<p>This machine (3) is for cleaning screwthreaded holes (2) distributed around the periphery of an opening (1), in particular the screwthreaded holes serving for the peripheral bolting in place of the closure members of orifices such as the handholes and eyeholes of steam generators in nuclear power stations.
<??>It comprises:
- means (4) for centring and clamping over said opening, enabling the machine to be positioned to the axis (12) of the opening and held in place by resting on the wall (10) of this opening,
- brush means (13) arranged at a fixed radial distance from the axis of the opening, these means being mobile:
. in rotation about the axis (12) of the opening in such a way that their path describes a circle intersecting the axes of the different screwthreaded holes distributed around the periphery of the orifice, in order selectively to position these brush means over each of the screwthreaded holes, and
. in axial translational movement along an axis coincident with that of a screwthreaded hole, in such a way as to enable these brush means to be inserted into the screwthreaded hole and withdrawn from the screwthreaded hole.
