PROCESS FOR PREPARING 9-CHLORO-1,5-BENZOTHIAZEPINE DERIVATIVES

The 9- chloro-1,5-benzothiazepine derivs. of formula (I) or their pharmaceuticaly acceptable acid addn. salts are prepd. by condensg. a cpd. of formula (II) or its salt with XCH2CH2NR2(R3), and pref. converting to phamaceutically acceptable salts. In the formulas, R1=H or lower alkanoyl; R2=R3=lower alkyl; X=halo. (I) are useful for treating hypertensive cerebral diseases and heart diseases in warm-blood animals.
