PURPOSE:To improve the operability and safety of the title machine by interrupting energizing devices, which may be endangerous to an operator, when an original platen and an image forming unit are moved to their removable position. CONSTITUTION:The bottom edge of a lever 202 is energized in the direction in which a switch 205 is turned on, by a spring 204. So far as contact glass 2 moves in a reciprocating range for usual exposure and scanning, a projection 201 is not engaged with the lever 202, and a switch 205 is always turned off. When the contact glass 2 is moved to a removable position to remove the image producing units, for example, a developing unit 8 and a cleaning unit 10, the projection 201 protruding ahead the front edge of the contact glass 2, turns the lever 202 clockwise against the spring 204 to turn off the switch 205. Thus the switch 205 is easily turned off by one action of shifting the contact glass 2 to a specific position, whereby the operability and safety of the title machine can be improved. |
