Die Erfindung betrifft eine Referenzelektrode für elektrochemische Messungen. Um eine hohe Zuverläßigkeit der Messungen zu gewährleisten, umfaßt die liquid junction (6, 7) zwei benachbart liegende Öffnungen (6, 7) im Gehäuse (1) der Referenzelektrode, deren eine eine kationenleitende und die andere eine anionenleitende Substanz enthält.
