PURPOSE:To prevent a photosensitive layer of an electrophotographic sensitive body from generation of frilling even if a high pressure of a corona discharge member is urged for a long time on the photosensitive layer, and to develop thus picture images having high picture image quality, by incorporating a specified polycarbonate into a surface layer of the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive body contains a polycarbonate contg. a structural unit expressed by the formula I and/or a structural unit expressed by the formula II, as primary recurrent units, in a surface layer, and a corona discharge member is allowed to contact with the photosensitive layer and rotated thereon. In the formulas, each R3 and R4 is H, alkyl group, cycloalkyl group, or aryl group, and one of the R3 and R4 is a bulky group; each R5-R12 is H atom, halogen atom, alkyl group, or cycloalkyl group and the degree of polymn is 10-5,000; Z is an atomic group necessary for forming a carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring and the degree of polymn. is 10-5,000. Thus, picture images having high picture image quality are obtd. without easily causing damage or frilling because of high hardness and high abrasion resistance of the photosensitve layer even if the photosensitive layer is allowed to contact with corona discharge member. |
