<p>PURPOSE:To properly use plural kinds of cassettes with different size by taking out the plural kinds of cassettes to a transport machine selectively, and mounting them on a recording and reproducing device selectively. CONSTITUTION:A large cassette 1 and a small cassette 2 are housed in a large number of large/small cassette housing racks 3 and small cassette only housing racks 5 in advance. And the cassette 1 or 2 in a designated fence address is received selectively from a direction of arrow b' by controlling the movement of the transport machine 10 along a travel path 11 in an up-and-down and right-and-left directions, and it is housed in a cassette housing part 19, and the cassette is transported to a designated recording and reproducing device 13 by the transport machine 10.
