PURPOSE:To provide an oxygen-dificient laminar perovskite structure and to improve the orientability of crystals by using Y, Ba, Sr, Cu and oxygen as principal components. CONSTITUTION:Powders of Y2O3, BaCO3, SrCO3 and CuO are pulverized and mixed to prepare powdery starting material (A) for ceramics superconducting at high temp. This component A is calcined at 650-930 deg.C and press-compacted to obtain a compact (B). This component B is sintered at 750-960 deg.C to produce highly orientated ceramics superconducting at high temp. and having atomic compsn. ratios represented by Y:(Ba+Sr):Cu:O=(0.8-1.2):(1.6-2.4):3:(7-x) (x=0-0.5) and 0<Sr/Ba<1. |
