PROCESS PF PREPARING AZOLE COMPOUNDS

Azole cpds. of formula (I) and their acid addn. salts (or alcoholates) are prepd. by reacting (II) with (III) or its reactive functional deriv. In the formulas, R1=methyl or cyclopropyl; R2=H or methyl; R6=H or Cl; M=H or trialkylsillyl; Y=N or CH; R1 and R2 may form cyclopropyl. (I) are esp. alpha-aryl (or aralkyl)-alpha- (cycloalkyl-alkyl)-1H-azole-1-ethanol. (I) have antifungus activities.
