PURPOSE:To eliminate parallax and perform multi-color display in a fine pattern further fix a deterioration characteristic of each color, by allowing emitted light of a zinc oxide fluorescent material to pass through a pigment particle and displaying the light from the side of an anode substrate. CONSTITUTION:If a fluorescent material 7 containing pigment emits light by a low speed electron beam, the generated light on a surface of the fluorescent material is selectively absorbed while passing through a pigment particle, and then the light passes through an anode 6 of transparent conductive film and a substrate 5 permeable with light and is emitted as an optical output 3 from a side of the anode substrate. Here the fluorescent material, transparent conductive film anode 6 and light permeable substrate 5 show an almost flat spectral characteristic in a visible light range, and a wavelength of emitted light from the fluorescent material can be converted into a desired wavelength. Further color of the pigment is provided with blue, green, yellow, orange, etc., and a fluorescent screen having a desired luminous color can be obtained by suitably selecting the pigment. |
