PURPOSE:To improve the separating performance of sheets within a sheet cartridge and to assure the reading, by driving a step motor to turn those sheets forward when the sheet cartridge is loaded and to turn the sheets backward when the cartridge is unloaded respectively. CONSTITUTION:A cartridge in which plural sheets are turned backward is loaded to a cartridge loading part 4 within the main body 1 of an input device and then turned forawrd as shown by an arrow A by a step motor (not shown in the figure). The rotary amount of the cartridge is set equal to an amount that is needed for an edge part of a desired sheet 7 to touch a separating bar 6b by pushing a sheet selection input key 2a of a key mat 2 and then obtained by means of a punched disk and a photocoupler which are not shown in the figure. Then only a sheet 7' is guided onto a sheet guide plate 3, and other sheets are stored on a guide plate 21. Then a stop button (not shown in the figure) is pressed down after an input process is over. Thus the step motor turns in the direction opposite to the arrow A to store the sheets backward. This can eliminate the curls of sheets and improves the separating performance of the sheets. |
