<p>Stairway jigs adapted to precisely measure the dimensions of steps over the main risers or a winding stair. A kit of at least two jigs is provided, each including extensible strips assemblies pivoted to each other at their ends. A first jig is quadrangular; a second one is triangular. Each strip assembly consists of two metal strips, slidable one over the other, and releasably interconnected by locking members, so as to be adjustably extensible accordingly with the dimensions of the steps. A third jig consists of one extensible strip assembly, to both ends of which are pivotally mounted abutment plates having a flat outer side adapted to adjustably abut against the walls opposite the straight stairs.</p> |
