PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of a high voltage by providing an induction coil in a cable tank, and also providing a means to interlock ON/OFF of the 1st feeding means with the ON/OFF of the 2nd feeding means. CONSTITUTION:Since the inductance of an optical submarine cable 12 and the induction coil 14 is nearly to each other, and they are stored and wound in the same direction, the magnetic flux caused from them is cancelled together by making a current flowing to the optical submarine cable 12 stored as a coil and the induction coil 14 opposite in direction to each other. If the optical submarine cable 12 is broken, the 1st feeder 17 stops its supply immediately and the 2nd feeder 19 also stops feeding by the interlocking device 21 simultaneously, then no high voltage due to the counter electromotive force is caused to the optical submarine cable 12. |
