PURPOSE:To reduce labor related to a process for setting a printing speed, by setting automatically a printing speed used in high frequency when a power supply of a printer rises. CONSTITUTION:At the time when a power supply rises, CPU 1 reads an initial set value from a backup memory 3 and sets a printing speed in RAM in the CPU 1. Every time when an information sent from a host computer is printed, the CPU 1 counts cumulatively the frequency of the printing speed set in the RAM at that time, writes the result in the backup memory 3, compares the results of cumulative counts for separate printing speeds, and writes the printing speed in the highest frequency in the backup memory 3 in an area for the initial set value. By taking this procedure in every time of printing, the printing speed used in high frequency is adopted as an initial value, which is set when the power supply rises. |
