A remote control transmitter comprising a first switch group on one side of a transmitter casing and a second switch group on the opposite side of the casing. The first switch group includes a plurality of key tops exposed at the surface of the casing and the second switch group is covered with a flexible sheet to allow only the first switch group to be actuated while the transmitter is supported on a surface.
