PURPOSE:To reduce the damaging of an image carrier even when a body for conveying scraped toner and the image carrier has some difference in peripheral speed, etc., by providing a lubricious layer over the surface of the turning body and bringing the turning body into contact with the image carrier. CONSTITUTION:The lubricious layer consisting of lubricants 6 and 6' in press contacted to the surface of the turning body 3, is formed, and the turning body 3 contacts the surface of the image carrier 1 with the lubricious layer between. Therefore, the damaging of the surface of the image carrier 1 due to contacting is reduced. Further, the lubricants move to the surface of the imge carrier 1, so the lubricants operate on the contacting part between a blade 2 and the image carrier 1 to prolong the life of the image carrier 1 and the turning body 3 is brought into contact with the image carrier 1, so the limitation to the installation position of the blade 2 and turning body 3 are relaxed while the size of the turning body 3 is reduced. Therefore, the whole device is made compact and the leakage of toner from between the image carrier 1 and turning body 3 is eliminted. Further, the lubricious layer on the surface of the turning body 3 acquires toner on the image carrier 1 to reduce a load on the blade 2 in scraping, and consequently the maintenance cycle of the blade 2, etc., is extended. |
