<p>PURPOSE:To improve the wear resistance of the subject shape steel by partially hardening the part of the shape steel for a mast to be brought into contact with a roller. CONSTITUTION:In the shape steel for a mast of a forklifter for conveying weights which has the structure of moving up and down via a roller by the use of a mast, the part to be brought into contact with a roller is partially subjected to quenching and carburizing. The part is then hardened compared to the other parts. By this method, the wear resistance of the shape steel for a mast is exceedingly improved. Since the steel has small reduction of the plate thickness caused by wear, the generation of noise can furthermore be prevented.</p> |
