PURPOSE:To improve wear resistance and to enhance reliability by providing a vanadium carbide layer in a sliding part between a supporting shaft and a weight, between a shaft and a cam and between the weight and a guide plate. CONSTITUTION:A vanadium carbide layer is provided respectively in a sliding part A between a weight 3 and a supporting shaft 4, sliding part B between a shaft 1 and a cam 7 and a sliding part C between a guide plate 8 and an advancer pin 32. The sliding part of the guide plate 8 for the advancer pin 32 is formed in a long hole 81, but the vanadium carbide layer is provided along the internal peripheral surface of the long hole 81. Thus forming the sliding parts excellent in wear resistance, a centrifugal timing advancer enhances its reliability extending life. |
