PURPOSE:To register an identification code surely and stably at resetting by sending the identification code from a base unit to a handset through, e.g., a charging terminal and returning a reply signal from the handset to the base unit through a communication channel. CONSTITUTION:When the handset 1 set to the base unit 2, an identification code ID is fed from the base unit 2 to the handset 1 through, e.g., charging contacts (terminals) 178, 278, the handset 1 stores the identification code ID into a memory in the reception of the identification code ID and returns it to the base unit 2 through communication channels 100, SU, 200. The base unit 2 confirms the returned identification code ID. Thus, the identification code ID of the handset 1 is registered or revised again at the charging of the battery of the handset 1.
