A joint for interconnecting a pair of table leaves horizontally movable relative to one another, comprises, in combination: a male portion and a female portion which can be secured to the respective undersurfaces of the two leaves proximally to their opposed edges so as to permit them to join and separate freely when the leaves are reciprocally brought together and moved apart, respectively.
