发明名称 DIRECTIVITY CONTROLLING SYSTEM FOR MULTIBEAM COMMUNICATION
摘要 PURPOSE:To perform reduction in the physical quantity and weight of a multibeam antenna mounted on an artificial satellite, by bringing its directivity under the batch control of an electric phase controlling means. CONSTITUTION:Signals inputted to input terminals I1-IM are given different directions according to the amount of phase shifting in a demultiplexing and multiplexing circuit 4 to obtain M beams. Those M beams are shifted in the same direction by the same amount according to the phase amount of a variable phase shifter group 2. Their shifts in a rotating direction are matched with one another by the rotation of the satellite itself around an axis X or under the mechanical control of the whole antenna. Because of electric phase control, the number of elements necessary for variable phase shifters is decreased, so the complexity of the device, deterioration in reliability, an increase in weight, etc., are suppressed.
