PURPOSE: To provide a low fraction defective, simple process, and high productivity, by transforming temporarily a slip of insulating barrier material to unbaked sheet, processing it to prescribed size and shape, and then laminating and baking it on the substrate. CONSTITUTION: The unbaked sheet 4' is a slip which mainly consists of an electric insulating solid material as major constituent of an insulating barrier 4, and organic binder. After forming of rows of holes corresponding to the electric discharge space 6 on the sheet 4', the sheet 4' is processed so that insulating barrier 4 is formed in the area other than holes. Then processed sheet 4' is laminated on the prescribed position of at least one of a pair of substrates 1, 2 and is baked. In the above process, before or after the process where the sheet 4' is transformed to the prescribed size and shape, if necessary, the sheet 4' is checked and only batter processed unbaked sheets are selected removing defective ones. This provides simple and high yielded formation of insulating barriers 4. |
