AMBIENT-PRESSURE ORGANIC SUPERCONDUCTOR A new class of organic superconductors having the formula (ET)2MX2 wherein ET represents bis(ethylenedithio)tetrathiafulvalene, as shown by the formula BEDT-TTF M is a metal such as Au, Ag, In, Tl Rd, Pd and the like and X is a halide. The superconductor (ET)2AuI2 exhibits a transition temperature of 5 K which is high for organic superconductors.
