The present invention provides an isokinetic ergometer comprising a movement guide, power gripping points, a brake unit connected therewith and a speed regulator, characterized by the following features: (a) the power gripping points are mechanically connected with a piston movable in a cylinder, (b) a flow regulation valve is attached to the cylinder, and (c) the cylinder and flow regulation valve are hydraulically connected with one another via a pipe, the flow regulation valve regulating the length of the stroke.
