<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetooptical element facilitating a maintenance control with a handy construction, by integrating an oxide superconductor and a magnetooptical material directly or through other materials to make a change in temperature optically detectable as well in addition to a change in the amount of magnetism. CONSTITUTION:A power of magnetooptical material and that of oxide superconductor are used to form a cylindrical molded product made up of the magnetooptical material in the center thereof and the oxide superconductor in the circumference thereof. Moreover, the product is sintered under such a condition as to cause an abnormal grain growth in the magnetooptical material and then, is sliced to such a specified thickness that light transmitted through the magnetooptical material is held in a desired range of reduction in water. The magnetooptical element thus formed cause a change in optical characteristic at the critical temperature of the oxide superconductor. This enables the production of an optical element which allows optical detection of a change in temperature as well in addition to a change in the amount of magnetism.</p> |
