摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To save the quantity of information of a moving vector and to improve the coding efficiency by providing a means applying compression coding to a control signal and a moving vector outputted from a TV camera controller controlling the movement of a TV camera. CONSTITUTION:An initial vector generating circuit 10 separates a moving parameter (p) from a TV camera control signal (a) and outputs an initial vector Vs representing the movement of the screen according to the parameter (p). Then a moving vector detector 11a uses the initial vector Vs to detect a moving vector Vopt. Moreover, a quantization circuit 13 uses the initial vector Vs and the moving vector Vopt to apply predictive coding to the moving image signal and the prediction error signal obtained by the predictive coding is used to switch the quantization characteristic according to the parameter (p). Furthermore, a variable length coder 7 applies compression coding to the control signal (a) and the moving vector Vopt. Thus, the quantity of information of the moving vector is reduced and the coding efficiency is improved.</p>
