PURPOSE:To uniformize surface temp. of a solidified strip and to reduce the development of cracking fault on the surface by arranging the specific depth of irregular roughness on surface of a belt contacting with molten metal. CONSTITUTION:The pouring basin 4 is arranged on the metallic belt 1 endlessly stretching between pulleys 2 and 3 and running as ascending to inclined direction, and the molten metal 6 is poured on the metallic belt 1 and solidified to produce the solidified strip. On the surface of the belt 1 contacting with the molten metal, the irregular roughness having 0.01-0.1mm depth is arranged. By this method, uneven cooling is reduced, and heat stress and deformation of the cast strip are reduced and the cracking fault on the surface is reduced. |
