PURPOSE:To obtain high-density images with excellent gradation properties by providing a heat-fusible ink layer comprising a heat-fusible substance comprising a carnauba wax obtained by molecular distillation being solid at normal temperature and a coloring agent, in a microporous structure of a resin provided on a base. CONSTITUTION:A heat-fusible substance and a coloring agent are maintained in a network structure comprising a microporous structure of a resin. Upon heating by a thermal head or the like, the heat-fusible substance is melted to exude through gaps in the network structure of the microporous structure of the resin, little by little onto a receiving sheet together with the coloring agent. When a carnauba wax obtained by molecular distillation is used as the heat-fusible substance, the quantity of the coloring agent transferred can be varied by controlling the thermal energy applied, and it is possible to obtain a fine-grained clear image representing a wide range of gradations with fidelity. |
