PURPOSE:To obtain a thin large-sized ceramic porous body having arbitrary porosity with favorable workability by a method wherein the above-mentioned body is produced by process under the condition that coalescing agent is added to aqueous slurry, which is prepared by wet-mixing ceramic powder, organic fiber material and emulsion type organic binder. CONSTITUTION:Aqueous slurry is prepared by wet-mixing ceramic powder, 0.3-3wt.% of organic fiber material and 0.5-10wt.% of emulsion type organic binder. Through the process after the addition of coalescing agent to said aqueous slurry, a ceramic green sheet, which is characterized by the obtainment of a sheet-like product, can be obtained. At this time, as the organic fiber material, at least one selected from among wood pulps and natural fibers is used. As the ceramic powder, at least one selected from among alumina, zirconia, cordierite, forsterite, magnesia, steatite, lithium aluminate and spinel is used. |
