PURPOSE:To extend the range of use of fabric and at the same time prevent laid flocking from occurring at forming by a method wherein a resin layer is shaped by compression-molding resin material with a bottom force and a top force and a fabric-coated formed item is formed by arranging a fabric between the bottom force or the top force and the resin material and, after that, the fabric of the resultant formed item is raised. CONSTITUTION:PP material 4, for example, which is in molten state by heating, is arranged so as to take the shape nearly corresponding to a cavity onto the bottom force 6 of a forming mold by being extruded from an extruder 7. Next, a polyester fiber woven fabric 2, for example, is arranged between the top force 5 and the material 4 so as to shape the material 4 in a shape along the cavity by lowering the top force 5 and at the same time to compression-mold the material to a resin layer 1 through cooling and hardening. Next, a fabric- coated formed item 3, which is formed by making the resin layer 1 and the fabric 2 into an integral body, is taken out of the mold. After the unnecessary portion in the periphery of the fabric 2 is cut away, the fabric 2, which is coated on the surface of the formed item 3, is raised with a rotating raising brush 9 in order to obtain the fabric-coated formed item with its surface raised. |
