The control-lever includes an optical guide (10), a light source (20) and an opaque casing (30). The optical guide is a transparent rectangular bar made of-eg synthetic resin. The light source, which can comprise a reflective component, is placed at one of the bar's extremities (11), while the second extremity of the bar (13) is provided with distinguishing marks (14) on its lateral face (12). The marks can be either printed or deposited. A transparent aperture (31) is provided on the casing at a location that corresponds to the marks on the bar. The casing itself can be made up of two components (32,33) or it can be just an opaque layer of dye. ADVANTAGE - Has minimum number of components, being easy to assemble. Marks can be added to control-lever before mounting it to its respective switch.
