PURPOSE:To lessen the generation of a discharge unevenness on the rear of a surface to be subjected to a discharge treatment by treating a ceramic roll having a roughened surface using as an earth-roll. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a supporting body 2 which has already mounted an undercoating layer on the another surface thereof is subjected to the corona discharge treatment in a corona discharge treating apparatus which provides a discharging electrode bar 4 and the earth-roll 1 composed of the ceramic roll having the roughened surface. The surface roughness (Ra) of the roll 1 is preferably 3-5mum. The unevenness which is liable to generate in the undercoating layer in the case of using gelatin for the undercoating layer can be prevented according to the title method. And, when the surface roughness (Ra) is less than the value mentioned above, the discharging unevenness can not sufficiently controlled, while when the surface roughness (Ra) is more than the value mentioned above, as the contact trace appears on the surface of a supporting body, it is not preferable. |
