PURPOSE: To obtain a medicine composition containing an activated protein C induced from a plasma or the combination of the activated protein with a thrombolytic agent, and capable of inhibiting arterial thrombotic obstruction or embolism, while not causing hemorrhage and reobstruction and avoiding side effects due to the high administration of a thrombolytic agent. CONSTITUTION: This medicine composition contains an activated protein C(APC) induced from a plasma and having an action for inhibiting platelet activation and fibrin production mediated with thrombin or the combination of the activated protein C with a thrombolytic agent such as a tissue plasminogen-activating factor, urokinase, prourokinase, streptokinase, plasminogen or an acylated plasmin. The medicine composition is administered to inhibit the acute arterial thrombotic obstruction or embolism of a patient or his constriction in coronary arteries, cerebrum or peripheral arteries or on vessel transplant. The APC acts as an extremely strong antithrombotic medicine under an arterial flow condition at a plasma level of 0.24-1.6μg/ml.
